Short Documentary FERNANDO’S RIDE Announced, Launches Campaign

Perth, Australia — Presidential Productions today announced the launch of its latest short documentary project FERNANDO’S RIDE, a deeply human story about resilience, purpose, and social impact. The announcement accompanies the launch of a national charitable fundraising campaign.
FERNANDO’S RIDE chronicles the extraordinary journey of Fernando de Andrade, a once-homeless young man from São Paulo, Brazil, who will undertake an epic 3,000-kilometre solo bike ride across the Australian outback as part of the ultra-distance Race to the Rock. Rather than simply test physical endurance, Fernando’s mission was a purposeful and compassionate endeavour: to raise awareness and funds for homeless youth both in Brazil and Australia.
“This film is bigger than a sporting journey — it is a testament to human resilience and the power of community,” said James Cunningham, director and producer at Presidential Productions. “Our goal with this fundraising campaign is to ensure Fernando’s message reaches communities, schools and organisations that work with vulnerable young people.”
The documentary project and campaign aims to secure financial support from impact-minded partners, philanthropic donors, and the public through a series of sponsorship levels and community engagement activations. Funds raised will be allocated to homeless youth charities and targeted digital distribution to maximise accessibility.
Supporters of the project will receive exclusive updates, behind-the-scenes access, and invitations to private screenings. Presidential Productions invites organisations and individuals who care about youth homelessness, mental health and inspirational storytelling to contribute.
